Telkomsel to launch iPhone 3G on March 20

Posted on March 12, 2009 by in Tech

Finally. Indonesia’s biggest operator Telkomsel will launch the-most-anticipated iPhone 3G at 8PM on March 20 at Pacific Place, Sudirman Street, South Jakarta. Jakartans can buy the shiny devices during two days launch event over there.

The Apple’s device will also be available from official distributors across the wider Jakarta area starting Monday (March 23), while the country’s biggest operator will roll out sales nationwide from Saturday March 28. (Pease check-out www.telkomsel.com/iphone/wheretobuy).

To celebrate the historical launch, Telkomsel will offer a number of local iPhone apps which can be downloaded for free for a limited time from the Apple App store.

Ah, wait. iPhone users will just use NEW simcard (both HALO, simPATI, Kartu As) along with bundling selected. Seems the decision will dissapoint Telkomsel’s loyal customers who want to keep their current numbers.
