Matt Mullenweg, founder of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) will come to Jakarta on January 17th-18th, 2009, attending the country’s first WordCamp. Following the success of WordCamp Philippines 2008 last month as the first WordCamp in SouthEast Asia, Indonesia will host the second conference for WordPress users and developers.
WordCamp is a 2-days conference type of event that focuses squarely on everything WordPress. These events are usually highlighted by speeches or keynotes by various people.
By attending this event, the country’s WordPress fans and bloggers can meet each others. According to Valent Mustamin, the organizer, the only online registration will be available starting on Saturday, November 1st, 2008.
Matthew Charles Mullenweg (born January 11, 1984 in Houston, Texas) is an entrepreneur living in San Francisco, California. Matt, one of 25 Most Influential People on the Web, is the founding developer of the popular open-source blogging software WordPress and writes a popular blog Photo Matt.
