Yesterday, Indonesia’s main opposition party, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), has nominated Jakarta Governor Joko “Jokowi” Widodo –dubbed as Indonesia’s Obama— to lead its presidential ticket.
Tim Graham of AIWA, collects some interesting tidbits, including from social media. The party even announced the much-anticipated official nomination on Twitter first.
As Dave McRae notes, the party’s announcement on Twitter actually came before the party’s official announcement to the media.
