Google to launch e-Book venture


Google Inc. will launch its long-awaited Google Editions online bookstore in the U.S. by the end of the year, the WSJ reports. The new service will be launched internationally in the first quarter of 2011. Offering an open “read anywhere” model, users will be able to buy books direcly from Google, online retailers or even independent book-stores, add them into a library tied to a Google account. And the reader? You can read them in any device which has a Web browser!
